To equip and strengthen each baptized person to follow Jesus faithfully and to carry out the responsibilities of being a Christian, the Father and the Son send the Holy Spirit in a special way in the sacrament of confirmation. Confirmation continues and is a necessary completion of the mission of the Holy Spirit that was begun in baptism, making the person able to assume greater responsibilities in love and service of God and of his people.
Adults
Adults who are baptized, have celebrated first Reconciliation and their First Echarist and practicing their Catholic faith (attending Mass regularly), but who have not been confirmed, may prepare for Confirmation through a specialized adult confirmation program. Contact the Catechetical Ministry Office.
High school teens beginning in grade 9, who have been baptized, celebrated their First Reconciliation and First Eucharist can prepare for Confirmation. Confirmation is a two year Academic process.
