Mission and Purpose Cursillos
in Christianity is a movement that, through a method of its own tries
to, and through God's grace manages to; enable the essential realities
of the Christian to come to life in the uniqueness, originality, and
creativity of each person. It is designed to prepare people of God to
become leaders and experience a new awareness of Jesus Christ in their
lives.
Cursillo is Spanish for "little course," a three-day
weekend when many laymen and laywomen, priest, and religious, pray,
study and discuss the Good News of the Gospel and demonstrate to
newcomers the caring and affection that is the heart of Christianity.
Continued
personal contact and informal gatherings (Ultreyas) keep the loving
Cursillo spirit alive and encourage more men and women to experience
Cursillo.
