Mission or goal Members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (or "Vincentians" ) are men and women who strive to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to individuals in need. We are part of an international society of friends united by a spirit of poverty, humility, and sharing, which is nourished by prayer and reflection, mutually supportive gatherings, and adherence to a basic rule. We operate a pantry providing food security to the poor and less fortunate in Spring Valley.
The St. Vincent de Paul Pantry, on the grounds of Santa Sophia Church, offers tangible assistance to those in need. Volunteers are needed to pick up food from various distributors, stock shelves, prepare food bags and work directly with clients to qualify them and distribute food to them.
PANTRY HOURS
Tuesday and Thursday: 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM
Saturday: 9:00 to 11:00 AM
Clients of our pantry must have a Spring Valley zipcode: Proof of ID and address, and completion of a short form are the only requirements.
If you are in need, this wonderful service is open to you. If you know people who are in need, please refer them to the pantry.
